- On 7 October 2025 a High-Level Committee chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah approved ₹707.97 crore of additional central assistance from the NDRF to Assam and Gujarat for 2024 floods and landslides, and ₹903.67 crore for fire services in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
- On 6 October 2025 at DRDO Bhawan, New Delhi, DRDO with the Integrated Defence Staff and the Tri-Services released the Indian Radio Software Architecture (IRSA) standard 1.0, a national software specification for Software Defined Radios.
- On 7 October 2025 the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved four railway multitracking projects costing about ₹24,634 crore, adding about 894 km across 18 districts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh by 2030-31.
