Everything in SF Prep, and how to use it
SF Prep is free. Read notes, current affairs and GK without signing in. Sign in with WhatsApp to practise past-year questions, take mock tests and exams, do a daily practice set, track your progress, and build your own question sets. The website and the Android app share one account.
1. Getting started
- Sign in with WhatsApp. Open Sign in, scan the QR (computer)
or tap Sign in with WhatsApp (phone), and send the
LOGIN…code to 8898784181. Come back to the page; you are signed in within a few seconds. No password. - Complete your profile once. Full name, date of birth and gender, and accept the Terms and Privacy Policy.
- Choose what you want to study. Competitive (pick your exam, such as JEE or another exam in our catalog) or Library (school books, chapter by chapter). You can change this later in Settings.
One WhatsApp number is one account. Use the same number on the website and in the app to keep the same progress.
2. Your dashboard
After signing in you land on your home page. For JEE it shows:
- Quick tiles: Mock Test, Exam Mode, Today's DPP (with your streak) and My Results.
- A 7-day DPP strip and a full calendar link.
- Pinned items: the sets and notes you pinned.
- Chapter-wise past-year questions by subject, with question counts.
- More to study: Past Papers, Free Notes, Current Affairs, Static GK, Bookmarks, My Sets and My Library.
Other exams get their own exam page (see below), and the Library track opens My Library.
3. Competitive exams
Chapters
Past-year questions sorted by subject and chapter. Filter by year, show or hide answers, and read the explanation.
Past Papers
Papers year by year and session by session. Read them with answers. For catalog exams you can also Start test on a paper with its real timer and marking.
Mock Test
Build your own test: choose subjects, chapters, years and number of questions. No time limit, so you can practise at your own pace.
Exam Mode
A full paper with a real countdown that submits by itself. JEE: 75 questions, 180 minutes, +4/−1. Catalog exams: any past paper with its own timer.
Daily Practice (DPP)
A short daily set for JEE: pick subjects, chapters, questions per subject and minutes per question. One question at a time, one DPP a day, with a streak calendar.
More Exams
Exams grouped by category: Central Govt, State Govt, Entrance, Teaching, Banking, Defence, Police and more. Each exam page has chapters, mock, past papers and a syllabus panel.
How to take a Mock Test
- Open Tests & Results → Mock Test (or the Mock tile on your exam page).
- Choose the number of questions, subjects and, if you like, specific chapters and years.
- Start. Answer in the exam-style screen, then Submit to see your result.

4. My Library (school books)
Add the books you study to My Library, then practise them chapter by chapter, take chapter mocks and a daily DPP.
Schools: a school can assign books to each class. Students join with a school code in Settings, and the books are chosen by the school.

Explore Library
Find books by name, class (6–12), subject or tag and tap Add to My Library. A Notes tab lists free notes you can read and pin.
My Library
Your books with question counts and notes links. Each book has Chapters, Mock and DPP buttons. Pinned notes and your sets appear here too.
Chapter practice
Open a book to see units and chapters with MCQ counts. Practise chapter by chapter with answers, explanations and a Hindi / English switch where available.
Library Mock & DPP
Pick chapters and questions per chapter for a mock (no time limit), or a daily DPP with minutes per question. One Library DPP a day.
5. The exam-style test screen
Mock tests, Exam Mode, Library mocks and set tests all use the same screen, laid out like real computer-based exams.
Only one test can be in progress at a time. Resume it from the banner, or discard it to start a new one.

6. Results & analysis
- Result page: score and percentage, right / wrong / skipped, time taken, and breakdowns by subject and by chapter (catalog papers also show by section).
- Review answers: every question with your answer, the correct answer and the solution. Bookmark, save to a set or report from here.
- My Results: your full test history, plus Progress & Focus with study insights, a score trend, subject improvement, chapter trends and the chapters to focus on next.

7. Bookmarks
Tap the bookmark icon on any question, even during a test. Open Saved → Bookmarks to revise them with answers, filtered by subject and chapter.
8. My Sets
A set is your own list of questions, for example “Tough Physics” or “Revise before exam”.
- Make a set from Saved → My Sets. Choose whether it shows answers and solutions.
- Add questions with Save to set on any question, in practice or in review.
- Practise or test: read it in order or by subject and chapter, or start a mock test from the whole set or a filter, with optional shuffle.
- Pin or share: pin it to your dashboard or My Library, or create a share link and send it on WhatsApp. Friends can take a test from it or save a copy.
Up to 50 sets, each with up to 500 questions.
9. Free Notes
- Simple notes with key facts, tables, exam traps, official PYQs and practice MCQs. No sign-in needed.
- Read in हिंदी, Hinglish or English (as available); the switch keeps your place on the page.
- Handwritten-style pages can switch between a pen font and a normal font.
- Signed in? Pin a note to your dashboard or My Library (up to 100 notes).
- Notes linked to a book have a Practice questions box to test that chapter.

10. Current Affairs
- Daily news in Hinglish, हिंदी and English, each with a one-line summary, key facts, background and practice MCQs, plus its sources.
- Three views: News, One-liners and Quiz.
- Filter by your exam, place (India, states, districts, world), importance and category, and by date: 7 days, 1 month, 3, 6 or 12 months, all, or custom dates.
- Search by scheme, person, place or award.
11. Static GK
Exam-ready facts topic by topic. Each fact shows its importance, the exams it's useful for, its source and related news, with practice MCQs you can check instantly.
12. Report a mistake
Found a problem? Tap Report on the question, choose where the problem is (question, answer or explanation) and the type of issue, and add details. Our team reviews every report. Questions that have been checked show a Verified badge.
13. Settings & profile
- Learning track: switch between Competitive and Library, or change your exam. Changing track clears saved Mock, Exam and DPP results, and SF Prep asks before it does.
- School: join with a school code, or leave and study on your own.
- Clear results: clear Mock, Exam or DPP results, or all of them.
- My Profile: see your WhatsApp number and edit your name. To delete your account, see Delete your account.
14. Android app
- Get SF Prep: Mock Test & Analysis on Google Play. Same account and progress as the website.
- Picks WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business when you sign in.
- Optional notifications for test reminders, results and new notes.
- Shows an offline notice and keeps your test answers safe until you are back online.
15. Ad-free plan
Every feature is free. If you prefer no ads, buy an optional ad-free plan (1 week, 1 month, 3 months or 1 year) in the Android app through Google Play. It removes ads in the app and on the website for the same account. Ads are never shown while you take a test. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
