On 8 October 2025 the Ministry of Coal, through its Nominated Authority, issued vesting orders for five coal blocks under commercial coal block auctions: Tandsi III & Tandsi III Extension, Senduri, West of Tubed, Chitarpur (Revised) and Phutamura. Their Coal Mine Development and Production Agreements (CMDPA) were signed on 21 August 2025. Four blocks are partially explored and one fully explored; together they have a Peak Rated Capacity of about 3.45 million tonnes per annum and geological reserves of about 1,556.31 million tonnes, and are expected to yield about ₹360 crore of annual revenue, ₹517 crore of investment and jobs for nearly 4,664 people. With these, 125 coal blocks have been vested or allocated under commercial auctions, with a cumulative capacity of about 265.844 MTPA, estimated annual revenue of about ₹37,463 crore and employment for nearly 3,59,400 people.
