- India's cumulative coal production crossed the one billion tonne mark in FY 2024-25, reaching a provisional 1,047.57 million tonnes, the Coal Ministry said on 1 April 2025.
- India added an unprecedented 25 GW of renewable energy capacity in FY 2024-25, nearly 35% more than the 18.57 GW added a year earlier, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy said on 1 April 2025.
- The Border Roads Organisation reopened Zojila Pass, which links the Kashmir Valley to Ladakh, on 1 April 2025 after a closure of only 32 days.
