Parliament passes Tribhuvan Sahkari University Bill as Rajya Sabha clears it

The Rajya Sabha passed the Tribhuvan Sahkari University Bill, 2025 on 1 April 2025 after Minister of State for Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol replied to the debate; the Lok Sabha had passed the Bill on 26 March 2025, so it has now been passed by Parliament. The university is to provide education, training and capacity building in the cooperative sector and undertake research. He added that the budget for cooperation has risen from ₹122 crore in 2013-14 to ₹1,190 crore, and that model bye-laws making PACS multipurpose have been adopted by 32 states and UTs.
