- Annual inflation based on the all-India Wholesale Price Index was 0.85% (provisional) in April 2025, down from 2.05% in March, the Commerce Ministry said on 14 May 2025.
- Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar inaugurated a two-day training at IIIDEM, New Delhi, on 14 May 2025 for 371 field-level electoral officials — 306 BLOs from Bihar and EROs and BLO Supervisors from Haryana and Delhi.

- All-India CPI inflation was 3.16% (provisional) in April 2025, the lowest year-on-year rate since July 2019, and food inflation fell to 1.78%, the lowest since October 2021, MoSPI said on 13 May 2025.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the National TB Elimination Programme on 13 May 2025, including the 100-day TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in which 12.97 crore people were screened and 7.19 lakh TB cases detected.
- India's Major Ports handled about 855 million tonnes of cargo in FY 2024-25, up 4.3% from 819 million tonnes in FY 2023-24, the Ports Ministry said on 13 May 2025.
- The Ministry of Ayush said on 13 May 2025 that, by a Gazette Notification of 23 March 2025, Ayurveda Day will be observed on 23 September every year instead of on Dhanteras.
- Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed the state's agriculture and rural development schemes at Mahanadi Bhawan, Raipur, on 13 May 2025; Chouhan said the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan would begin on 29 May.
- India's coal imports fell 9.2% to 220.3 million tonnes in April 2024–February 2025, from 242.6 million tonnes a year earlier, saving about US$ 6.93 billion in foreign exchange, the Coal Ministry said on 13 May 2025.

- International Nurses Day was observed on 12 May 2025 with the ICN theme 'Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies', and the State of the World's Nursing 2025 report put the global nursing workforce at 29.8 million in 2023.
- The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) signed an MoU with Synergy Quantum India on 12 May 2025 to jointly develop drone-based Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems at Technology Readiness Level 6 or above.
