The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) held an online National Consultation on 14 May 2025 on the dissemination and awareness of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986. About 300 participants from Central and State ministries, state police departments, State Commissions for Protection of Child Rights and NGOs took part. NCPCR Chairperson Tripti Gurha called for structured awareness for effective implementation of both laws.
