ECI trains 371 field-level electoral officials from Bihar, Haryana and Delhi at IIIDEM

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar inaugurated a two-day capacity-building programme at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM), New Delhi, on 14 May 2025. It covered 371 grassroots officials: 306 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from Bihar, 30 EROs and BLO Supervisors from Haryana and 35 from the NCT of Delhi. Including this batch, over 2,600 field officials had been trained by the ECI in New Delhi in the previous two months. The CEC said BLOs would soon get standard identity cards for door-to-door verification and asked participants to work strictly under the Representation of the People Act, 1950 and related rules.
