Security forces recover bodies of 31 Naxalites after 21-day operation at Karreguttalu Hill

The Chhattisgarh Police and Central Armed Police Forces recovered the bodies of 31 uniformed Naxalites and 35 weapons after 21 encounters over 21 days (21 April–11 May 2025) at Karreguttalu Hill on the Chhattisgarh–Telangana border, MHA said on 14 May 2025.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said on 14 May 2025 that the Chhattisgarh Police and Central Armed Police Forces recovered the bodies of 31 uniformed Naxalites, including 16 women, and 35 weapons after 21 encounters over 21 days on Karreguttalu Hill (KGH), on the border of Bijapur (Chhattisgarh) and Mulugu (Telangana). The operation ran from 21 April to 11 May 2025, involved CRPF, STF and DRG personnel, and had no casualties among the security forces, as stated at a joint press conference in Bijapur by the CRPF Director General and the Chhattisgarh DGP. Of those killed, 28 had been identified, carrying total rewards of ₹1.72 crore. KGH is about 60 km long and 5 to 20 km wide. Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated the target of a Naxal-free India by 31 March 2026.
