- The Union Cabinet approved a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for Central Government employees and pensioners on 28 March 2025, taking it from 53% to 55% of basic pay or pension from 1 January 2025.

- The Finance Ministry said on 27 March 2025 that the Centre will borrow ₹8 lakh crore through dated securities in April–September 2025, 54% of the ₹14.82 lakh crore gross borrowing budgeted for 2025-26.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi met a delegation of Keizai Doyukai, the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, led by its chair Takeshi Niinami, at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi on 27 March 2025.

- Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal introduced the Boilers Bill, 2024 in the Lok Sabha on 25 March 2025 to repeal the century-old Boilers Act, 1923 and decriminalise three of its seven offences.
