• The Department of Commerce extended the RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) scheme up to 31 December 2026 with unchanged rates (Notification No. 41/2026-27, 30 September 2026).
• The Department of Commerce extended the timelines of Component II of RELIEF (Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation), which gives exporters ECGC cover with 95% risk coverage for shipments to the disrupted West Asia region.
• In a first for the UT, two limestone blocks in Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir — Koot–Kapran and Wantrag — were auctioned through the Ministry of Mines (announced 2 October 2026).

• The Finance Ministry announced on 1 October 2026 that the 5th Kautilya Economic Conclave, organised by the Institute of Economic Growth with the Ministry, will be held in New Delhi from 3 to 5 October 2026 under the theme 'Resilience in an Age of Flux'.
• On 1 October 2026, the start of the new sugar season, the Centre limited sugar dealers to 1,000 quintals of stock held for no more than 15 days, from 15 October to 30 November 2026 (2,000 quintals for Kolkata and Assam).
• On 1 October 2026 the Ministry of Mines launched the auction of two offshore blocks in the Andaman Sea – Sewell Rise-01 and West Sewell Ridge-01 – with polymetallic nodules and crusts, for grant of Composite Licence.

• On 30 September 2026 the CCEA chaired by PM Modi raised MSPs of all mandated Rabi crops for Marketing Season 2027-28: wheat ₹2,610 per quintal (+₹25), with the highest absolute increase for safflower (+₹675) followed by rapeseed & mustard (+₹413).
• MoSPI released Annual Survey of Industries 2024-25 results on 30 September 2026: Gross Value Added of registered manufacturing grew 9.59% and total employment rose 7.19% to over 2 crore, with Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana the top five states in employment.

• The Quick Estimate of the Index of Industrial Production (base 2022-23=100), released by MoSPI on 28 September 2026, shows 8.0% year-on-year growth in August 2026, up from 6.7% in July.
• The 14th meeting of the India–UAE High Level Joint Task Force on Investments (HLJTFI) was held in Mumbai on 28 September 2026, co-chaired by Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
• On 28 September 2026 the Central Board of Direct Taxes extended the due date for filing income tax returns for Assessment Year 2026-27, for persons subject to audit, from 31 October to 21 November 2026.
• On 28 September 2026 the Ministry of Steel decided to set up a Steel Industry Safety Council (SISC), an apex industry safety body chaired by the Steel Secretary, supported by a new Steel Industry Safety Directorate (SISD).

• On 27 September 2026 NMDC Ltd commissioned its 2 MTPA pellet plant at Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh, part of a ₹5,427 crore project linking its Bacheli iron ore operations with its Nagarnar steel plant.
• Addressing the UP International Trade Show in Greater Noida on 27 September 2026, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said Uttar Pradesh aims to raise annual exports from about ₹2 lakh crore to ₹5 lakh crore by 2030.
• Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman began an official visit to Qatar on 27 September 2026 (27–29 September) to attend the 11th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Doha on 28 September.
