- An additional 25% US ad valorem duty on products of India, imposed by Executive Order 14329 over India's import of Russian oil, took effect at 12:01 a.m. EDT on 27 August 2025, on top of the duty already imposed under EO 14257.
- More than 700 personnel of the Indian Armed Forces and HQ Integrated Defence Staff are set to take part in the multilateral Exercise Bright Star 2025, hosted by Egypt with the US, from 28 August to 10 September 2025.
