More than 700 personnel of the Indian Armed Forces and HQ Integrated Defence Staff are set to take part in the multilateral Exercise Bright Star 2025, hosted by Egypt with the US, from 28 August to 10 September 2025.

The Defence Ministry said on 27 August 2025 that more than 700 personnel from the Armed Forces and Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff would take part in the multilateral Exercise Bright Star 2025 from 28 August to 10 September 2025. The exercise will include live firing by the three Services, a command post exercise, short training exercises and subject matter expert interactions. Bright Star is hosted by Egypt in conjunction with the United States since 1980, is held biennially, and is among the largest tri-service multilateral exercises in the region; India also took part in the 2023 edition.
