- On 27 May 2026 the CCEA approved SARTHAK-PDS, an umbrella scheme merging foodgrain-movement/FPS-dealer-margin assistance and SMART PDS, with a Central outlay of ₹25,530 crore up to 31 March 2031.
- The Third Advance Estimates for 2025-26, released on 27 May 2026, put India's foodgrain production at a record 376.563 million tonnes, about 18.8 million tonnes (5.3%) above 2024-25.
- The Petroleum Ministry said on 27 May 2026 that India, the world's fourth-largest refiner with 258.1 MTPA capacity across 22 refineries, has more than adequate petrol and diesel supplies.

- Telecom subscription data released on 26 May 2026 show India had 1,337.54 million telephone subscribers and 1,073.44 million broadband subscribers at the end of April 2026.
- KVIC's provisional data for 2025-26, released on 26 May 2026, show record sales of ₹1,87,105 crore and production of ₹1,25,296 crore, with employment for 2.04 crore people.

- At a review on 25 May 2026, the Ministry of Mines said a record 212 mineral blocks were auctioned in FY 2025-26, the most in a single year since auctions began in 2015, including 22 critical and strategic mineral blocks.

- Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Canada from 25 to 27 May 2026 with over 100 Indian businesses to push negotiations on the India–Canada Comprehensive Economic and Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the ministry announced on 23 May.

- On 21 May 2026 Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal told the American Chamber of Commerce's Annual Leadership Summit in New Delhi that American industry commitments in India over the last six months were estimated at upwards of $60 billion.

- The Coal Ministry said on 19 May 2026 that production had begun at the Urtan mine in Anuppur and the Dhirauli mine in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, with Urtan the first underground mine to produce under the commercial coal auction regime.
- On 19 May 2026 the Ministry of Education and IVCA held the Bharat Innovates Investor Showcase in Bengaluru, where 24 deep-tech start-ups presented to over 90 investors ahead of the flagship Bharat Innovates 2026 event in Nice, France, on 14–16 June.
