Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah launched four initiatives of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), namely the e-auction portal NAFEX.in, DRISHTI, ERP and NAFED Kalyan, in New Delhi on 23 June 2026. Amit Shah said NAFED, which was on the verge of closure in 2014, now serves more than 74 lakh farmers with a turnover of ₹30,000 crore and a profit of ₹500 crore. Amit Shah added that within the next two years all farmers should be able to sell pulses directly to NAFED and NCCF, and that NAFED will earmark 1% of its profits for scholarships for children from farmer families.
