- An additional 25% US ad valorem duty on products of India, imposed by Executive Order 14329 over India's import of Russian oil, took effect at 12:01 a.m. EDT on 27 August 2025, on top of the duty already imposed under EO 14257.
- MoSPI's Annual Survey of Industries 2023-24 results, released on 27 August 2025, show manufacturing-sector GVA growing 11.89% in current prices and employment 5.92%, with Tamil Nadu the top state for employment.
