A PIB backgrounder of 15 May 2026 says India ranks third in the world with 6,628 specified dams, over 26% of them more than 50 years old, and that DRIP Phases II and III carry an outlay of ₹10,211 crore.
CAQM approves EV-only registration of L5 three-wheelers in Delhi-NCR and no fuel without PUCC from 1 October 2026
At its 28th full meeting on 15 May 2026, the Commission for Air Quality Management in Delhi-NCR (CAQM) approved draft directions for only electric L5 three-wheelers to be registered in Delhi from 1 January 2027 and for fuel only against a valid PUC certificate across NCR from 1 October 2026.
