- On 30 September 2026 the Union Cabinet approved Green Energy Corridor Phase-III to strengthen intra-state transmission for evacuating up to 135 GW of renewable energy, plus 50 GWh of battery storage, with an outlay of ₹1,86,405 crore by FY 2032-33.
- The Ministry of Power notified new Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) norms for passenger vehicles on 30 September 2026, effective 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2032, tightening the fuel-consumption benchmark by about 16.7%.
- On 30 September 2026 the Bihar Cabinet, led by CM Samrat Choudhary, approved the draft Bihar Green Hydrogen Policy, 2026 to promote renewable energy, reduce dependence on imported natural gas and cut carbon emissions.
