Rajasthan received ₹303.04 crore as the first instalment of Untied Grants for 2025-26 for 24 District Panchayats, 339 Block Panchayats and 3,857 Gram Panchayats, plus ₹145.24 crore of withheld 2024-25 grants; Jharkhand received ₹275.13 crore as the first instalment of Untied Grants for 2024-25 for 24 District Panchayats, 253 Block Panchayats and 4,342 Gram Panchayats. Untied Grants can be spent on the 29 subjects in the Eleventh Schedule of the Constitution, except salaries and establishment costs, while Tied Grants are for sanitation (including ODF status) and drinking water.
