Gujarat received ₹522.20 crore as the second instalment of untied grants for 2024–25 for all 38 district panchayats, 247 block panchayats and 14,547 gram panchayats, plus ₹13.60 crore of a withheld first-instalment portion. Haryana received ₹195.13 crore as the first instalment of untied grants for 2025–26 for 18 district panchayats, 134 block panchayats and 6,164 gram panchayats. The Ministries of Panchayati Raj and Jal Shakti recommend these grants, which the Ministry of Finance releases in two instalments a year.
