On 19 November 2024, the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI), under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, signed an MoU with H2Global Stiftung to establish a collaborative framework to promote green hydrogen initiatives. It aims to enhance knowledge exchange on market-based mechanisms and foster cooperation between India and importing countries. The MoU was signed by SECI Director (Solar) Sanjay Sharma and H2Global Executive Director Dr Susana Moreira, in the presence of MNRE Secretary Prashant Kumar Singh and National Green Hydrogen Mission Director Abhay Bhakare. It offers India the chance to work on joint tender design, in line with its ambition to become an export hub for green hydrogen and its derivatives.
