President appoints judges and additional judges to Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Gauhati High Courts

Summary
The Ministry of Law and Justice announced on 29 July 2025 that the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, had appointed judges and additional judges to three High Courts. Gouse Meera Mohiuddin, Chalapathi Rao Suddala, Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy and Gadi Praveen Kumar, all advocates, became Additional Judges of the Telangana High Court. Advocates and judicial officers including Pushpendra Yadav were appointed Judges, and others including Alok Awasthi were appointed Additional Judges, of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Anjan Moni Kalita, Rajesh Mazumdar, Pranjal Das and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma became Additional Judges of the Gauhati High Court. Under Article 224, additional judges of a High Court are appointed for a period not exceeding two years.
