The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) extended the application window for Round 4 of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for White Goods (air conditioners and LED lights) to 10 November 2025, PIB reported on 17 October 2025. The window was originally open from 15 September to 14 October 2025 and was extended because of strong industry response. The scheme was launched in April 2021 with a total outlay of ₹6,238 crore to boost domestic manufacturing, promote component localisation and strengthen India's competitiveness in the AC and LED lighting sectors.
