Madhya Pradesh Cabinet approves 20% horizontal reservation for former Agniveers and projects worth over ₹24,500 crore

On 29 September 2026 the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav approved 20% horizontal reservation for former Agniveers in five uniformed services and proposals worth over ₹24,500 crore.

Summary

The reservation applies to recruitment of police constables, Special Armed Force, jail guards, forest guards and excise constables. The Cabinet also approved the 105.10 km Damoh–Katni four-lane road at ₹4,470.30 crore, ₹5,329.17 crore for honorarium to more than 76,000 guest teachers over five years (2026-27 to 2030-31), ₹3,245.80 crore for health centres and drug control, and continuation of irrigation projects including the Kanh Diversion Project in Ujjain in view of Simhastha 2028.
