MHA and National Judicial Academy hold national conference on the three new criminal laws in Bhopal
The Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, held a two-day National Conference on the three new criminal laws in Bhopal on 8–9 November 2025, with 120 participants from the judiciary, prosecution and police of all states and UTs.

At the new criminal laws conference in Bhopal, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan said technology, timely investigation and justice delivery are the core principles of the laws, which are being implemented across the country. The MHA said about 50 lakh FIRs had been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), more than 33 lakh charge sheets or final reports filed, 22 lakh Sakshya IDs created and more than 38,000 Zero FIRs registered since 1 July 2024. Notifications on e-Sakshya had been issued by 26 states/UTs and on e-Summons by 24, and training had covered over 15.3 lakh police officers and 18,884 judicial officers.
