The project has four 700 MWe Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs), and 50% of its electricity will be allocated to Haryana. For Unit-1, first pour of concrete is targeted by October 2025, first criticality by June 2030 and commercial operation by March 2031; Unit-2 will follow six months later. NPCIL has spent ₹75 crore on CSR activities around the project.
