Fossil-based capacity had grown from 168 GW to 246 GW (about 46%), while non-fossil capacity had grown from about 80 GW to about 220 GW as of 31 January 2025, an increase of around 180%. The transmission network had expanded from 2.91 lakh circuit km to 4.92 lakh ckm, and 1 lakh EV charging stations are to be installed by 2030.
