The Full Bench of the Lokpal of India adopted a new motto, 'Empower Citizens, Expose Corruption', on 11 June 2025, replacing its old motto, and released its logo with the new motto. Under the Lokpal and Lokayuktas law passed by Parliament in December 2013, the Lokpal consists of a Chairperson and a maximum of eight Members, of whom fifty per cent are judicial Members; they are selected by a committee of the Prime Minister, the Lok Sabha Speaker, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, the Chief Justice of India or a Supreme Court judge nominated by the CJI, and an eminent jurist nominated by the President (static).
