The Forum of Regulators (FOR) held its 100th meeting at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on 11 May 2026, marking 21 years since it was set up. Established in 2005, FOR is a statutory platform that brings together the Central and State electricity regulatory commissions to coordinate and improve regulation of the power sector, and is chaired by the Chairperson of CERC, currently Jishnu Barua. Over the years it has carried out 71 studies and 55 capacity-building programmes and issued 25 model regulations. Principal Secretary to the PM Dr P K Mishra launched a FOR coffee table book, and Chief Economic Adviser Dr V Anantha Nageswaran spoke on India's energy exposure.
