E-Daakhil consumer complaint portal now operational in all States and UTs

On 27 November 2024, the Department of Consumer Affairs said the E-Daakhil portal for online consumer complaints is now operational in every State and UT, after its launch in Ladakh on 22 November 2024.

On 27 November 2024, the Department of Consumer Affairs announced that the E-Daakhil portal for filing consumer complaints online is now operational in every State and Union Territory. The last addition was Ladakh, where Lieutenant Governor Brig (Dr) B D Mishra (Retd) launched it on 22 November 2024. E-Daakhil was first launched by the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission on 7 September 2020, and by the end of 2023 it was live in 35 States/UTs except Ladakh. The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 came into force on 20 July 2020. The portal has over 2.81 lakh registered users and 1.98 lakh cases filed. The government is also working on 'e-Jagriti' to further streamline case filing and tracking.
