On 26 November 2024, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) announced a two-year Memorandum of Understanding with WinZO, described as India's largest social gaming and interactive entertainment platform. The first-of-its-kind collaboration aims to build an ecosystem of over 2,000 startups, innovators and students, with mentorship and training in coding, animation, game design and development. WinZO will set up a Centre of Excellence in sync with DPIIT and expand its Tech Triumph Program (Bharat Edition). DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv Singh cited a USISPF report projecting India's interactive entertainment sector to grow to over $60 billion by 2034 and create over 2 million jobs.
