DAC clears proposals worth about ₹79,000 crore, including Landing Platform Docks and NAMIS

On 23 October 2025 in South Block, New Delhi, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, gave Acceptance of Necessity to proposals worth about ₹79,000 crore. For the Army, it approved the Nag Missile System (Tracked) Mk-II (NAMIS) against enemy combat vehicles and bunkers, a Ground Based Mobile ELINT System for electronic intelligence, and High Mobility Vehicles with material-handling cranes. For the Navy, it cleared Landing Platform Docks for amphibious operations with the Army and Air Force, a 30 mm Naval Surface Gun, Advanced Light Weight Torpedoes, an electro-optical infra-red search and track system, and smart ammunition for the 76 mm Super Rapid Gun Mount. For the Air Force, it cleared the Collaborative Long Range Target Saturation/Destruction System, which can take off, navigate, detect and deliver payload autonomously.
