CCRAS and Berhampur University sign MoU to digitise rare Ayurvedic palm-leaf manuscripts
On 31 January 2026 the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) and Berhampur University, Odisha, agreed to digitise and catalogue rare Ayurvedic manuscripts kept at the South Odisha Cultural Study Centre.

The Ministry of Ayush said CCRAS and Berhampur University, Odisha, would sign an MoU at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Bhubaneswar, to digitise, catalogue and publish rare Ayurvedic manuscripts and palm-leaf documents preserved at the university's South Odisha Cultural Study Centre (SOCSC). The university holds over 2,000 palm-leaf manuscripts. The work will be led by the National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH), Hyderabad, a unit of CCRAS.
