The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) passed final orders imposing a penalty of ₹10 lakh on Motion Education Pvt. Ltd. and ₹5 lakh on Career Line Coaching (CLC), Sikar, for misleading advertisements and unfair trade practices, the Consumer Affairs Ministry said on 15 May 2026. The CCPA found that the institutes used names, photos and results of successful IIT-JEE and NEET candidates while hiding which courses those candidates had actually taken. In its nationwide action on the coaching sector, the CCPA has issued over 60 notices and imposed penalties exceeding ₹1.39 crore.
