Jitendra Singh inaugurates new office-cum-court complex of CAT Jammu Bench

On 20 September 2026, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated the new Office-cum-Court Complex of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench, at Bahu Plaza, Jammu.

The Central Administrative Tribunal's Jammu Bench now has a new office-cum-court complex at Bahu Plaza, Jammu. Dr Jitendra Singh said the Jammu Bench's disposal of service cases is among the highest in the country, and only about 8% of its cases have gone in appeal to the Jammu & Kashmir High Court. Up to 30 June 2026, the Jammu and Srinagar Benches had disposed of 18,392 of the 20,984 cases transferred from the High Court and 13,952 of 20,405 fresh cases. CAT was set up in 1985 under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, and charges a fee of ₹50 for an Original Application.
