CAQM bars new petrol and diesel vehicles in aggregator and delivery fleets across NCR from January 2026
The Commission for Air Quality Management directed on 4 June 2025 that no new petrol or diesel light commercial vehicles or two-wheelers be added to aggregator, delivery and e-commerce fleets across NCR from 1 January 2026.

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) issued directions on 4 June 2025 to speed up the shift to cleaner mobility among motor vehicle aggregators, delivery service providers and e-commerce entities across the National Capital Region. Only CNG / Electric 3-wheeler autorickshaws may henceforth be added to existing fleets, and from 1 January 2026 no conventional petrol or diesel vehicles may be inducted into fleets of 4-wheeler light commercial vehicles, light goods vehicles (N1 category, up to 3.5 tonnes) and 2-wheelers. The Commission noted that Delhi already has the Delhi Motor Vehicle Aggregator and Delivery Service Provider Scheme, 2023, and directed Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to frame similar policies and develop web portals for monitoring, prioritising cities such as Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
