CAQM inspects 142 Noida road stretches for dust under GRAP

Summary

The Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) inspected 142 road stretches maintained by the Noida Authority on 5 January 2026, as part of enforcement under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). Ten teams of Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board officers and the CAQM flying squad checked road dust, solid waste, construction and demolition waste and open burning, collecting geo-tagged photographs. Only 4 stretches showed high visible dust, 24 had moderate dust, 66 low dust and 48 no visible dust, and corrective measures were ordered at identified hotspots.
