WPI inflation falls to −1.21% in October 2025
India's annual inflation based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) was (−) 1.21% (provisional) in October 2025, down from 0.13% in September, the Commerce Ministry said on 14 November 2025.

The negative October WPI inflation was mainly due to lower prices of food articles, crude petroleum and natural gas, electricity, mineral oils and basic metals. Primary articles inflation was −6.18% and the WPI food index −5.04%, while fuel and power was −2.55% and manufactured products rose 1.54%. The month-on-month change in the index was −0.06%.
