WPI inflation eases to 2.31% in January 2025
The Commerce Ministry said on 14 February 2025 that annual inflation based on the Wholesale Price Index was 2.31% (provisional) in January 2025.

Positive inflation was mainly due to higher prices of manufactured food products, food articles, other manufacturing, non-food articles and textiles. Food Index inflation eased to 7.47% from 8.89%, primary articles to 4.69%, and fuel and power stayed negative at -2.78%. Manufactured products inflation rose to 2.51%. Month on month, the index fell 0.45%.
