President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the second edition of 'Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav' at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 5 March 2025. This edition showcases the heritage of five southern states, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and two UTs, Lakshadweep and Puducherry, through performances, handloom and handicraft exhibitions, a literary enclave and food courts. About 500 artisans and weavers are taking part. The Mahotsav is planned in seven editions, for the North-East, South, North, East, West, Central region and Union Territories. It was open to the public from 6 to 9 March.
