UPSC declares Civil Services Examination 2025 result; Anuj Agnihotri tops, 958 recommended

The Union Public Service Commission declared the final result of the Civil Services Examination 2025 in New Delhi on 6 March 2026; Anuj Agnihotri secured the first rank and 958 candidates were recommended.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the final result of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 on 6 March 2026, recommending 958 candidates (659 men and 299 women) for appointment. Anuj Agnihotri, an MBBS graduate of AIIMS Jodhpur with Medical Science as his optional subject, secured the first rank. Rajeshwari Suve M (B.E., Anna University; Sociology) came second, Akansh Dhull (B.Com, University of Delhi; Commerce & Accountancy) third, Raghav Jhunjhunwala fourth and Ishan Bhatnagar fifth. The top five have one woman and four men, and the top 25 have 11 women and 14 men. The preliminary exam was held on 25 May 2025: 9,37,876 applied and 5,76,793 appeared; 14,161 qualified for the Main exam in August 2025 and 2,736 for the Personality Test. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the successful candidates.
