Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan was the chief guest at the valedictory session of the third edition of Unmesha â International Literature Festival in Patna, Bihar, on 28 September 2025. The festival was organised by the Sahitya Akademi with the Ministry of Culture and the Government of Bihar at the Samrat Ashok Convention Centre, Patna, from 25 to 28 September 2025. It brought together writers, scholars, publishers and poets from 15 countries representing more than 100 languages. In his address the Vice-President recalled Bihar's ancient seats of learning, Nalanda and Vikramshila, and Vaishali as an early seat of democracy. A minute's silence was observed for the victims of the Karur tragedy.
