The Unique Identification Authority of India announced on 11 March 2026 its first structured bug bounty programme, with 20 security researchers testing the UIDAI website, myAadhaar portal and Secure QR Code app.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced on 11 March 2026 that it has launched its first structured bug bounty programme to strengthen the security of the Aadhaar system. A panel of 20 experienced security researchers and ethical hackers will look for weaknesses in the UIDAI website, the myAadhaar portal and the Secure QR Code application, and will be rewarded according to the severity (critical, high, medium or low) of genuine gaps they report responsibly. UIDAI is running the programme with ComOlho IT Private Limited.
