Centre approves procurement of 13.22 LMT tur under PM-AASHA as purchases pick up in major producing states

The Centre allowed procurement of tur, urad and masur equal to 100% of state production for 2024-25, and Budget 2025 extended this for four more years up to 2028-29 to achieve self-sufficiency in pulses. PM-AASHA has been continued through the 15th Finance Commission cycle up to 2025-26.
