The Tri-Services All-Women Sailing Expedition team returned home on 4 June 2025 after completing a two-month, 1,800-nautical-mile international voyage to Seychelles, the first-ever international open-sea sailing mission by an all-women team from the Indian Armed Forces. The team of 11 women officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force sailed aboard IASV Triveni (Indian Armed Services Vessel), an indigenously built 56-foot sailing yacht, after the expedition was launched on 7 April 2025. The expedition was ceremonially flagged in at Mumbai by Lieutenant General A K Ramesh, Commandant of the College of Military Engineering, and during its stopover in Seychelles the crew met the Seychellois Foreign Minister and the Chief of Combined Defence Staff.
