On 27 November 2024, the Ministry of Mines said it had completed the e-auction of two more mineral blocks under Tranche IV (NIT dated 24 June 2024) of critical and strategic mineral block auctions, in addition to eight blocks whose preferred bidders were announced on 7 November 2024. The two blocks are in Jharkhand and Maharashtra, with graphite and nickel, chromium, cobalt and associated minerals. With this, the Centre, through its Designated Officer, has completed four tranches of e-auction, with NITs dated 29 November 2023, 29 February 2024, 14 March 2024 and 24 June 2024.
