International workshop on tiger landscapes opens; IBCA and ADB sign MoU

Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav inaugurated a two-day international workshop on 'Tiger Landscapes: Conservation, Bioeconomy and Ecotourism as Pillars for Livelihood and Income Generation' in New Delhi on 2 September 2026. The workshop is jointly organised by the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA). IBCA and ADB signed an MoU on landscape conservation, sustainable development, capacity building, knowledge exchange and nature-positive financing. Bhupender Yadav said human–nature coexistence should be the foundation of conservation.
