Three new trains were flagged off and a new road over bridge at Tetelia station yard was dedicated from Guwahati, Assam, on 3 January 2025 in the presence of Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The three new trains are the Guwahati–New Bongaigaon–Guwahati daily passenger (55818/55817), the Tinsukia–Naharlagun–Tinsukia tri-weekly express (15911/15912) and the Guwahati–North Lakhimpur–Guwahati bi-weekly Jan Shatabdi Express (12047/12048). The Tetelia road over bridge (No. 59A), built by Northeast Frontier Railway at a cost of ₹72 crore, replaces level crossing gate no. ST-22.
