The third India-UK Financial Markets Dialogue (FMD) took place at GIFT City, Gujarat, on 12 December 2024, hosted by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, and led by senior officials of the Finance Ministry and HM Treasury. Regulators taking part included the RBI, SEBI, IFSCA, IRDAI, PFRDA, the Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority. The last meeting was held in April 2023. Delegates discussed capital markets, insurance and reinsurance, pensions, FinTech and sustainable finance, and explored direct listings of Indian companies in GIFT IFSC as a first step towards direct listing on the London Stock Exchange.
