On 29 November 2025 Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Culture & Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat flagged off the new Jaisalmer–Delhi (Shakur Basti) rail service from Jaisalmer, named 'Swarn Nagari Express'.
